Man Boobs – What To Do About Excess Chest Fat!

Women dream of having big breasts; for men, developing breasts is a nightmare scenario that causes embarrassment and shame. Unfortunately, up to 60 percent of men suffer from one form or another of man boobs.

If you suffer from man boobs, then there are two factors that may be causing your condition:

Obesity - Being overweight causes your body to store fat in different places; some men store their weight around their midsection, and some men store their excess fat in their legs and thighs. It's kind of like a genetic lottery; some men end up storing all their excess fat over their pectoral muscles. Men who store excess fat in their chest end up developing man boobs.

As men get older, their metabolism gets slower. As people age, they are more prone to storing fat; guys who never had problems with man boobs when they were younger may end up with fatty chest deposits when they get older.

Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is a genetic condition that appears when men have a hormonal imbalance; their bodies produce more estrogen and less testosterone than they should. This hormonal imbalance floods the body with estrogen; this is the same hormone that causes women to develop breasts during puberty. If your body does this, then your chest is likely to grow. Gynecomastia can happen naturally; it can also happen when men take certain medications, drugs or when they suffer from certain illnesses.

What Are Some Natural Ways To Get Rid Of Man Boobs?

If you are overweight and storing fat in your chest, then you need to work on reducing your body fat percentage. Unfortunately, there are no specific exercises you can do to magically make your boobs disappear.

Diet

Eating healthy is one of the best ways to reduce fat; cut back on junk foods and processed items. Reduce your calorie intake and your fat will slowly melt away; try to eat a diet that consists of fruits, vegetables and lean meats. Drink more water and avoid juices and alcohol; unnatural processed foods can cause your body to produce excess amounts of estrogen.

Workout

Make conscientious efforts to get stronger; as a person builds muscle, they sculpt their bodies and increase their testosterone levels. The more you lift and get in shape, the more calories your body burns. When you do chest workouts, you turn your chest fat into muscle. When your chest becomes muscular, fat slowly disappears.

Posture

A sedentary lifestyle can lead to slouching; when a person slouches, it accentuates the fat that they have on their chest. If you make an effort to stand up tall, you look slender and your man boobs don't show as much. Get used to sitting and standing up tall; once you get in the habit, you will notice that not only is it more comfortable, but your man boobs become less noticeable.

Stay Away From Estrogen

Many medicines and foods contain estrogen; when you overload your body with estrogen, it enters your bloodstream and causes side-effects like man boobs. If you are on prescription medications, talk to your doctor to make sure that they aren't negatively impacting your body's estrogen production. Estrogen can also be found in plastics, laundry detergent and body products. Consider making a switch to organic products; they are less likely to contain chemicals that mess up your body's hormone levels.

What About Surgery?

Surgery is a last resort; most men can naturally get rid of gynecomastia without resorting to it. Natural methods are much safer and more effective than antiestrogen treatments or surgery. If you stay healthy, maintain a proper diet and increase your muscle mass, your man boobs will start to disappear.

The Amazing Benefits of Purple Vegetables!

Since time immemorial, the color purple has long been associated with royalty and nobility including the upper class of society. This is because the color purple was quite a rare color to be seen and expensive to make in those days. Today, the color purple can be seen anywhere, but there are things where the color purple is still very rare such as with vegetables.

Purple vegetables are quite hard to find nowadays, because many of the vegetables are of other colors such as bright red, yellow, and orange. However, purple vegetables such as eggplant, onions and purple cabbages are very hard to find in the market. The pigments that are responsible for the color of these vegetables are called Anthocyanin, which has amazing healing properties. Nevertheless, apart from healing, here are some amazing benefits that one can get with purple vegetables:

Heart Disease Prevention

Purple vegetables are very useful especially to the cardiovascular system. The chemical agent responsible for a myriad of heart diseases is a component known as the endothelin-1. This can be inhibited by a flavonoid component known as the resveratrol, which also allows the flow of blood in the brain as well as preventing cancer cells to be malignant and it reduces stroke.

Fights Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is a growing threat among women, as a lot of them today fight for survival with this condition. For those who do not have breast cancer, it is much better to prevent than cure it. According to a research in the Medical University of South Carolina in 1993, headed by Dr. Daniel Nixon, studies show that purple vegetables contain ellagic acid, which helps in inhibiting the malignant growth of the cancer cells and stop its cell growth. Ellagic acid is also known to reduce the effects of estrogen, which is the primary reason of the malignant growth of breast tumors for the women.

Good for Mental Health

Mental disorders usually occur due to the lack of blood flowing in people’s brains. This results in many mental problems such as insomnia, migraine, anxiety and even depression. Fortunately, the resveratrol found in these purple vegetables increase blood flow to the brain, giving people the benefit of lessening the risk of having mental problems.

Prevents Premature Aging

Stress is a killer, especially when it comes to looks as it can make someone in his or her mid 20s, look like someone in their 40s. However, thanks to the purple vegetable’s Anthocyanin, it repairs damaged cell tissues and make a person look young again.
Purple has always been a symbol of royalty and wealth. Today, it is still used as a sign of wealth as it gives many healthy benefits to its consumers. Purple vegetables have been used over the ages as a means of medical treatment especially during the World War II. However, today, due to the increase in the world’s disease, purple colored vegetables have been proven one of the best soldiers for the prevention of these symptoms and they are our gold mine too, as they provide us the wealth of health.

What is the Life Expectancy of Multiple Sclerosis?

MS_Life_Expectancy_Prognosis
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is not a fatal disease but unfortunately there currently is no cure. However, the good is that the life expectancy of people with MS is on average 30 years from onset, being only around five to ten years less than that of unaffected people.
The prognosis for longevity is good, except in cases of severe MS which is quite rare. However, those with the condition do battle with issues that will affect their quality of life. Symptoms can cause pain, discomfort inconvenience and some case severe disability. Infections and other complications are especially dangerous for the more disabled. Suicides is more common, but two-thirds of the deaths are directly related to the consequences of the disease.
Factors that influence prognosis favourably include:

  • Low rates of relapses per year
  • Complete recovery from the first attack
  • Symptoms pronominally from afferent systems like the sensory system
  • Younger age of onset
  • Low disability at 2 to 5 years from the disease onset
  • Later cerebellar involvement
  • Involvement of only the CNS system at the time of onset

Unfortunately there is unpredictability on how MS will progress in each person, mainly because patients vary widely in how they experience the severity of the disease. Around 20 percent of patients with MS will have no symptoms, or only mild symptoms after an initial clinical diagnosis and event, while around 20 percent of patients will experience their condition as progressive. Most patients will undergo a certain amount of disease progression though.
MS_Life_Expectancy_Prognosis

Another way in which doctors can determine the extent of MS is to evaluate the disabilities and how they may affect patients. According to eh UMMC, about 75 percent of patients diagnosed with MS are still able to walk normally two decades after their initial diagnosis. However, some patients might need a cane or crutches to remain independent. Electric scooters and wheelchairs can also be used.

The majority of people with MS have a normal life expectancy, however since the disease varies so much from one person to the next, it can be difficult for doctors to predict whether a patient’s condition will worsen or improve. Quality of life can be affected by symptoms and lifestyle changes will have to be made, but a person with MS may have the same life expectancy as one without the condition.
